SUBMIT A GRADUATE FELLOWSHIP EVALUATION

Your letter of evaluation should address the following points:

  1. How long you have known the applicant and in what context.
  2. Provide concrete, specific details about the applicant’s academic performance and scholarly work that show you know the applicant well and give substance/ concrete examples to your claims of the applicant’s excellence. 
  3. The applicant’s potential as an outstanding scholar and future leader in their field.
  4. Rankings or comparisons of the applicant to peers and/or to previous students you have taught.
  5. Make sure your final letter appears on official letterhead and is signed.
  6. Address your letter to the Heyl Graduate Fellowship Selection Committee.
